In addition to the words and terms defined in §22.1 of this chapter (relating to Definitions), the following words and terms, when used in this subchapter, shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. In the event of conflict, the definitions in this subchapter shall control.
(1) Administrator--The institution of higher education contracted by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to administer the Program. (2) Board--The governing body of the agency known as the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. (3) Commissioner--The Commissioner of Higher Education. (4) Coordinating Board--The agency known as the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and its staff. (5) Eligible Institution--A general academic teaching institution as defined by section 61.003(3) of the Texas Education Code. (6) Mentoring--A program in which a student is paired with or serves as a mentor. (7) Program--The Texas Leadership Scholars Program. (8) Scholar--An eligible student who applied and was selected to participate in the Texas Leadership Scholars Program by a participating institution.
