SECTION 150.1031. General Provisions for Superintendent Appraisal

(a) All school districts have the following two choices in selecting a method to appraise superintendents: (1) a superintendent appraisal system recommended by the commissioner of education; or (2) a local superintendent appraisal system. (b) In addition to other procedures and criteria determined by the school district board of trustees, the commissioner's recommended appraisal process and criteria for a superintendent shall include, at a minimum: (1) an annual evaluation of the superintendent; and (2) a student performance domain. (c) Completion of the Lone Star Governance superintendent evaluation may satisfy the requirements of subsection (b) of this section.
