SECTION 65.202. Maximum Allowable Working Pressure (MAWP)

(a) The MAWP for standard boilers shall be determined in accordance with the ASME code under which they were constructed and stamped. (b) In no case shall the MAWP of an existing nonstandard boiler be increased to a greater pressure than would be allowed for a new boiler of the same construction. (c) The MAWP on the shell of an existing riveted heating boiler shall be determined in accordance with the National Board Inspection Code.
