SECTION 401.202. Construction of Rules

  • These rules will be given their most reasonable meaning taken in their total context, and will be construed to secure a just resolution or decision for every controversy. They will not be construed to limit or repeal rights afforded or requirements imposed by law. Unless otherwise expressly provided, the past, present, or future tense each includes the other; the masculine, feminine, or neuter gender each includes the other; and the singular and plural number each includes the other. Definitions of some of the words used in these rules are contained in §401.227 of this title (relating to Definitions).
