SECTION 21.11. Suspension of Rules and Good Cause Exceptions

(a) Suspension. The commission may suspend the operation of one or more of the sections in this chapter if there exists a public emergency or imperative public necessity and the commission ascertains that suspension will best serve the public interest and will not prejudice the rights of any party. (b) Good cause exception. Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter or Chapter 22 of this title (relating to Practice and Procedure), except where prohibited by statute, the presiding officer or the commission may grant exceptions to any requirement in this chapter or in a commission-prescribed form for good cause.
