CHAPTER 118. LASER HAIR REMOVAL |

(a) This chapter establishes requirements for: (1) radiation safety in the use of lasers or pulsed light devices for hair removal procedures; (2) laser hair removal (LHR) facility operations, training and qualifications for persons performing LHR procedures, customer notification, consulting physicians, enforcement, penalties, and responsibilities of the registrant, laser safety officer (LSO), certified individuals, and consulting physicians; (3) the registration of LHR facilities and the certification of individuals who perform or attempt to perform LHR procedures. (b) No person may operate a LHR facility except as authorized in a certificate of LHR registration issued by the department in accordance with the requirements of this chapter. (c) No person may perform or attempt to perform LHR except as authorized in a certificate issued by the department in accordance with this chapter.
