SECTION 123.5. Application for MPDZ Exemption

(a) A Nominating Body that has recognized a zone, nominated a location, and certified a person for the purposes of a MPDZ Exemption shall submit a written application to the Texas Film Commission (TFC). (b) A completed application shall include: (1) the current Application for Exemption form from the TFC website, filled out completely and signed by an authorized representative of the Nominating Body, with all specified attachments; and (2) such other written documents containing information reasonably requested by the TFC or the Comptroller which shall be provided within 20 days of the date of the request. The TFC or Comptroller may, for good cause, allow additional time to comply with a request. (c) The application contents shall be provided in the following formats: (1) one original hard copy of the complete application in a three ring binder with tabs separating each section of the documents submitted; and (2) one electronically digitized copy formatted in searchable portable document format (PDF) or other format acceptable to the TFC.
